Hey there Jeff.  1st off, AWESOME name!  You've  posed a VERY INTERESTING question.  I'm actually quite curious as to what others are using myself, as I'm always game for new & better ideas.  Right now, I'm using a plastic tote for everything but my helmet.  I picked it up at Wal-Mart for around $16.  It has built-in wheels on one end.  It looks like a plastic trunk, with a hinge on one side & 2 buckle locks on the other side.  I actually use some of the soft parts of my costume to protect the armored pieces.  It's not the perfect solution, but it works, & it all fits easily in my car trunk.  For my helmet, I actually am currently using the box it came in.  Thanks Stone!happy.gif I've lined the entire inside of the box with foam padding to protect the helmet.   It doesn't weigh much, & so far it's worked great!  The foam padding provides great protection for the helmet.  If anyone has a better setup, I'm sure we'd all love to hear it.  In the mean time, I hope this helps.biggrin

Using the shipping box, Jeff? Hey, it free why not put it to use huhhappy.gif

I have used all sorts of things over the years to tote around my gear. But for the last year I have been using what are known as 'ATA' cases. They are the same thing used by traveling shows and musicians.  I bought these back when I had a real job, and money was not an issue.

The cases are not cheep, but will withstand much abuse. I think that I have something like $400.00 invested in both of these together.

Thanks for the compliment Jeff, I have to say you have an awesome name as well :)

I think I am using something similar to you. I recently bought a 50 Gallon case by Stanley. It has the locks on it ans wheels on one side with a telescopic handle.

I am planning on foaming out the inside so that everything slots in together. I will take photos when I get it all set up.

I am very interested to see how everyone packs their kit though as transport damage can be the worst of all.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Looking forward to more :)

Jeff

I posted on my garrison site and most have the black home depot trunk for 60 bucks.  It has wheels and a handle for easy mobility.  It even has a lock and a tray.

Thanks

So do you fit all of your kit in that one? Or everything without the lid?

I would love to see your setup on that one.

Kent, How much roughly does your lid case cost in the US?

By the way Kent, I am thinking for my next purchase to be shoulder Armour. Is it possible for you to make it not as broad in the shoulders? Roughly how much would you charge for that. Send me a PM please.

That one can be on a slow build though as it would just be a replacement piece to the one I have already.

Cheers

Jeff
