Greetings, My name is David and I am from TN, I have been interested in Star Wars for a long, long time. Now the dark side is calling me to join it. After seeing some members from the 501st at Dragon*Con last year it was all the motivation I needed to get my suit together. I am currently building an ESB Darth Vader suit (my favorite movie), its almost finished too just waiting on a couple itemswink. I'm not new to costuming and am a member of "www.The Hunters Lair.com" where I've built my own Predator suit, I also went to Connooga 2010/2011 suited up as a Predator. This build rivals my Predator build in cost. But if your going to build Vader you gotta have the best stuff for looks and accuracy right and who else makes the best helmets and armor but none other than the man himself Darth Stone!salute.gif  Besides being a member of The Hunters Lair and the RPF, I am over on the Sith Lord Detachment also. I joined here last year and have been lurking in the shadows but am just now making my first official postoccasion14.gif.  Family seems smaller these days here especially with my daughter away at college. That's probably one reason I've gotten into costuming and helping others now. It gives me something to do and away to make others smile a little, a way for me to give back a little. There's a great feeling seeing a child smile and the twinkle in there eyes from them seeing there favorite characters come to lifehappy.gif. I've gotten to know some of my 501st squad and have been helping them as a handler at different charity events. I enjoy costuming and I'm very excited about getting this finished soon and being an official member of the 501st!~David~ (A few photos of me in my Predator suit below)

Hello Stone and forum members!

I've been a fan of your work since I first seen your McQuarrie Concept DV helmet build =)  I originally bought a Rubies costume just for halloween 3 years ago not knowing about the 501st legion and similar websites like it, but needless to say after wearing the costume a few times I was hooked biggrin At that time I didn't have a a cluse where to start but I quickly discovered why the Rubies costume needed "improvements" ie: drastic overhaul.  I recently bought myself a ventilated leather 2 piece suit from CP, I have the MR helmet although it's frickin heavy and because I wear glasses not to practicle for me haha.  I need to find myself all new armor and a belt so if you have any runs of anything let me know =)

Robert

Hey folks, my name is Jonathan. I am from TN, and am a member of the 501st. I was referred here by SithLord66 (Dave). I am currently working on a ROTS Vader that I intend to upgrade from it's current state. Posted below is a pic from an event this past weekend. I am looking to get involved in the community here and learn as much as I can. Thanks!

I don't check this section all that often, and I guess that I have been missing out on allot.

We started this web site and forum just over a year ago now. It has grown slowly and I am amazed that so many have visited.

Thank you all for posting up a little bit about yourselves.

Stone

Hi, I'm Brian, from TN. Most of the costumes I've done in the past have been horror characters like Freddy ,Michael Myers and comic characters. Last year I played Batman for a local comic convention and rather enjoyed it so I've been putting (slowly) together a Darth Vader ROTS costume and found this place while browsing the RPF looking for a ROTS helm. Now I'm just patiently waiting for Stone to get set up and working on one ;)

Howdy folkses.
I'm Steve and I'm a 37 year old lost cause with a Vader and Fett fixation lol. I always wanted a Darth Vader helmet and a Boba Fett helmet at each end of my desk. That then evolved into wanting a full sized Vader and Fett in my room (or lounge room) and is now evolving into possible 501st aspirations. Well..... We'll see :o)

Hello to SSC and all members!

My name is Tony and I am a new convert to the world of Vader. I stumbled on this site from someone mentioning ThePropDen to me and it lead me here.

Kent, if I may call you by name, have a great looking and in the case of the trooping mods, innovative product. I hope to maybe wear or display one someday soon!

Cheers!
Tony

Call me anything that you may like. At 48 I have been called just about everything. I got into the habit of signing as, "Stone" mainly just to keep things formal with those who do not know me.

I would like to thank all of those who have said a bit about themselves. I may not respond as much as I would like to, but I do like reading about who you folks are.

Hello All. My name's Adam, I'm a 39 year old science teacher from Victoria, Australia. I've been a 501st member for a couple of years now as a Stormtrooper. Trouble is, at 6'5" other TK's in my garrison keep getting "aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper" if they stand next to me while trooping. So I figured the best solution to that was to move on to a Vader costume. When I asked around for the best place to get a Vader Helmet, all advice led to Stone! Having looked at Kent's work I can see why it was unanimously considered the best. So I am hoping to be trooping in one of his helmets in the near future.
